The Central Library and Information Centre has taken its shape in a spacious, well ventilated and illuminated hall of 600squre meters. The titles and volume that include the books in Reference section from 2190 of 15190 authenticate the generousness of the learning center. One can have an immediate access to about 54 periodicals and journals (National and International) and 10 prominent daily newspapers (English & Hindi) at the Centre.
The library maintains SC/ST Book Bank with the assistance with its own. Besides, it owns 80 Audio – Visual CD’s and 50 DVD’s in its digital library setup. Apart from the amenities available at the 9 Departmental Libraries that work in coordination with the central library.
The total seating capacity of Central Library and Information Centre is 250.
The Central Library is a completely automated and computerized. All the staff and students have free access to internet at the Centre. The library also provides access to online Digital Library transactions in association with IEEE.
We are planning to establish a digital Library that ensures access to all International journals through SONET (Society for Networking for Excellence in Technical Education). Adequate Reprographic facilities are available in the Central Library. and Information Centre.
The Library works from 9:30 am to6:00 pm; Monday through Saturday the library will be kept open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
