At Post-Graduate level, apart from philosophical, sociological and psychological bases of education, methodology of educational research and statistics form an important part of curriculum. Students are acquainted with type of researches, designing research proposal, construction of tools and methods of executing research. Conducting research and writing dissertation in any area of study, enables the student to develop technical skills needed and a new vision and sensitivity to problems and their identification.

Course Structure : The postgraduate degree comprises of one annual examination. The teaching method used in the course includes classroom based teaching, lectures, assignments and supervised dissertation on relevant educational topic. The assessment method used in the annual session of the course includes sessional work consisting of two term papers relevant to the five theory papers, Viva voce and a University examination.
